Lionel Brockman Richie Jr. to amerykański piosenkarz, autor piosenek, producent muzyczny i osobowość telewizyjna. W latach 70. zdobył sławę jako autor piosenek i współlider zespołu Commodores z Motown; pisał i nagrywał hity takie jak "Easy", "Sail On", "Three Times a Lady" i "Still". W 1980 roku napisał i wyprodukował przebój "Lady" dla Kenny'ego Rogersa. W 1981 roku nagrał duet z Dianą Ross "Endless Love", który pozostaje jednym z najlepiej sprzedających się singli wszech czasów. Richie jest laureatem czterech nagród Grammy, w tym Piosenki Roku za "We Are the World" oraz Albumu Roku za Can't Slow Down.
